Nicole Brown’s earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Boston University in 2003, and a Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture (NESA) in 2008. At NESA, Nicole studied both Chinese and Japanese styles of Acupuncture, and also completed the Chinese herbal program.
She is Board Certified and licensed to practice acupuncture and herbal medicine in Massachusetts by the Board of Medicine Committee on Acupuncture.
Nicole is also a Certified Health Coach (Health Coach Institute) & Integrative Health Practitioner (IHP Level 2)
Nicole Brown specializes in women’s health issues, fertility, and stress related conditions.
In addition to her acupuncture training, she has also received extensive training and certification in the use of nutrition, functional medicine and supplements to optimize patient care and results. As a trained Health Coach, Nicole Brown is able to provide individualized Wellness programs for patients who aim to find natural, holistic relief from symptoms, and live healthier, happier lives.
Nicole spent her formative years growing up in various countries in Southeast Asia where she was exposed to both Eastern and Western approaches to health and medicine. With her multi-cultural upbringing and background in Psychology and Integrative Health, Nicole has acquired a unique perspective on health and healing, with an emphasis on integrating conventional and holistic approaches. Nicole was drawn to Chinese medicine because of its emphasis on prevention, mind-body connection, and treating the root cause of a condition. She strongly believes in patient education and empowerment in order to achieve lasting health and wellness.
Why Nicole Brown chose Acupuncture as a profession:
Nicole’s passion for Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine comes from her own personal experiences with the medicine that helped her overcome various health conditions. After over a decade of frustrating hormonal problems (PCOS), digestive issues, migraines and allergies, Nicole found significant and long lasting relief from her symptoms with acupuncture treatments and changing her diet and lifestyle.
Having seen first hand the benefits of acupuncture and holistic health, Nicole is passionate to share the medicine with others and to help them reach their optimal health. Along with acupuncture, Nicole incorporates lifestyle and dietary advice, and also recommends supplements and herbal treatments if appropriate in order for the person to gain maximum benefit from the treatments.

Fun Fact: Prior to her Acupuncture career, Nicole received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Boston University. After her undergraduate studies, she worked for 7 years as a Neurotherapy technician and quantitative EEG analyst. Nicole developed protocol for Neurofeedback training therapy, treating various conditions including ADD/ADHD, anxiety, and OCD.
