When you come to Inner Sage Boston Acupuncture, your first appointment is a 1.5 hour comprehensive health history.  Your treatment plan is personalized to fit your exact symptoms and lifestyle.

A sample of what your plan may look like:

  1. Acupuncture: To help regulate your cortisol levels and get you out of fight or flight mode.  When your cortisol levels are imbalanced, you typically feel exhausted in the morning, and wired (but tired) at night.  Acupuncture can help regulate hormones and cortisol levels, helping you to relax and re-establish a healthier circadian rhythm.
  2. Sleep Hygiene Program: Helping you to incorporate and adopt healthier habits during the day and evening, in order to enhance restful sleep and regulate your circadian rhythm.
  3. Supplement or Herbal Protocol: Certain vitamins and herbs can help your body naturally produce melatonin appropriately.  In addition, there are certain vitamin deficiencies that can interrupt your sleep cycle, or prevent you from getting restful and restorative sleep.
  4. Mind-Body Techniques: Mindfulness, meditation, and relaxation techniques to help you clear your mind, reduce the ruminating, and get out of the worry cycle.
  5. Dietary Changes: Nutritional deficiencies, and too many “hot” or stimulating foods can keep you from sleeping well at night.
